Happy Birthday, love!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
to
my best friend,
my sweetheart,
the love of my life,
my Gilbert Blythe/Prince Charming,
my husband,
Trevor R.A. Spence.
I love you, Angel!

I went for the kill and tried 3 new recipes tonight. I follow The Pioneer Woman like a lost puppy dog. I love her writing style. And her photos, especially of food, are just divine!
So, in honor of T's 21's birthday, I made Ribs, Baked Beans, and Potato Bundles. Trevor loved it! I was so excited. It was a great day finished with a wonderful candlelit dinner. :o)

Disclaimer: If you want stunning photos, go to The Pioneer Woman herself. MY pictures do not do these recipes justice!

The ribs were outstanding! Of course, there are a whole lot left over but we got the larger pack at Sam's for the same prize as a small rack of ribs from anywhere else. :) We'll eat a couple of meals off of this. haha

The baked beans were great. I changed up the recipe to make it work better for me. This housewife only has one oven, likes to have a meal done at one time, and can't cook at 3 temps at once. ;)

The potato bundles were by far my favorite part of the meal... which is saying a lot. It was all amazing!
And the plate.

I've never actually tried any of the pioneer woman's recipes, but they do look really good. And I think using "your Gilbert Blythe" is awfully adorable.

Thanks for reading my blog! :o) I love the Pioneer Woman too, I have yet to attempt any of her recipes. Your food looks like it turned out great!
