Greetings from Orlando, FL!

Greetings from the beautiful, wonderful, happiest place on earth(aka, Walt Disney World). We have been here a week and a half.

Our new apartment is beyond nice. Trevor and I have been taking full advantage of the pool and fitness room. Trevor is working at Hollywood Studios on Sunset Blvd doing quick service food and beverage and I am in Tomorrowland Merchandise at the Magic Kingdom. Their has been some talk about transferring me to Studios after the summer so that Trevor and I can work the same shifts - which would be BEYOND nice! But I have second thoughts about it. Though Studios is my favorite park because of it's theming, I love Magic Kingdom and I work with some of the most amazing people. We will see how God leads in this situation.

We have been working for a little over two weeks and we love it! Training was somewhat monotonous but when I actually got to get out on stage, in my lovely costume ;), it was amazing. I get to be a part of the pixie dust experience by helping make the magic possible. I love being able to make people smile and knowing that I will be a part of their wonderful Disney memories. I even made it into a few pictures!

On our days off we are enjoying playing in the parks and taking advantage of the resorts. Trevor and I both had today off and went to Animal Kingdom for the morning and early afternoon. We didn't see everything but it was nice to know we could go in for a few hours and leave. Trevor keeps reminding me that we have 7 months here but I can't help but want to fully enjoy every minute of it!

We are about to head to Downtown Disney to take in a movie but I just wanted to update my blog (even though it is just you reading, Heather). :) Pictures to come from our adventures this afternoon.

Moving Madness

I type this as I sit in my apartment which completely lacks furniture and is entirely consumed by boxes. We have so much to do and so little time to make sure it all gets taken care of.

Needless to say, Trevor and I are both beyond excited about moving to Orlando. We are both in love with the Orlando area and specifically Disney World. 7 months of playing there sounds alright with me. :)

We are heading to Jackson on Wednesday night so that I can sing with Poppa. Thursday we will come back here with Patty and load up everything that will be going with us. Friday night is Eli's graduation and then as soon as it is over we will start the first leg of our trip. Right now the plan is for us to leave straight from the graduation and stay the night at Ashley Paige's on the coast. Saturday we will drive until we hit Orlando. :)

We will be staying with my Uncle Sunday-Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning we will be checking into our new apartment at 9 am. The next few days will be filled with Traditions, where we will be orientated into the Disney College Program and find out more about each of our jobs.

To sum it all up, despite all of the hard work, I am SUPER excited. :)

School, Apartment "Updates", etc.

School is going really well right now. It is great to be able to focus completely on school and not have to work. I am not sure how much longer that will last, but I am thoroughly enjoying it for as long as I can. I am really excited about actually having time to work ahead on projects and I hope that I will keep on doing it even after I start working again. The naps every afternoon are really nice as well.

Apartment... well, the night Trevor and I got back into town from our honeymoon, we noticed that our roof was leaking and sagging in the bathroom. After a week or so of having what we named the "lovely toilet water" from above spattering all over our bathroom. They worked Tuesday through Thursday last week replacing the toilet and flooring upstairs. Today they came in and replaced our bathroom ceiling. It really spoke volumes that they came in as soon as we put in our maintenance request and worked until it was fixed.

I have been enjoying organizing everything. The one of the best parts is being able to cook lunch and dinner for Trevor everyday and have it ready for him when he walks in the door. It is just so fulfilling. :) I also love having my sisters and our friends over. Almost every night there is someone over at the apartment and I LOVE it. Trevor and I both love all of our friends over but it still allows us to have some good quality time together.

Just as a quick side note, it amazed me that no matter a person's age, they still result to the immature levels of making everything a competition. People who rosey up their lives and try to make everything sound as close to perfect as possibly, really are just making a blaring statement that they hate their life and are trying to convince others as well as themselves that they are living the picture perfect life. I feel sorry for these people. And I hate to admit it, but, at times, they make me laugh.

2 days!

I have been writing in my journal but decided to make a random entry here while I wait in the Interior Design house for my teacher so that I can turn in my project that is due tomorrow.
I am going to give myself *happy* points because not only did I get this project done and it looks really good(if I do say so myself), but I am turning it in early. It annoys the mess out of me people know when things are due but continually procrastinate. In the case of this project, we got an extension of two day and I had mine done before the original due date. But because of printer problems here at the ID house, it hasn't gotten plotted yet. Also, I chose to take a test early and I turned in a portion of my paper that is due in 2 weeks for reviewing and received extra credit. :)
So far, I am rather pleased with my morning.
I have been busy setting up home in the little apartment that I will share with Trevor. It is so exciting. I know it isn't small but we won't be in Hattiesburg forever(I mean, honestly, we don't even want to be in Mississippi for more than we have to) so there is no point in looking into something "bigger and better".
In 2 days I will be a married woman! True to prediction(a large joke among me and some close friends) I am the first Clegg girl to marry and the first one "living on my own".
Besides not enjoying school entirely, life is amazing and wonderful. I am beyond happy!

So long ART 113

Well, after much prayer and consideration, I have dropped ART 113 which frees up about 6 hours a week in class and an uncounted amount of hours doing homework. It was just too much with my workload this semester. So I am putting it off until next fall(or in the summer if it is offered).

The Crush Party last night was so much fun. I love all of my ADPi sisters so much. They are my family here in Hattiesburg and I don't know what I would do without them.

3 weeks and I will be married and enjoying Disney World! :)

Home Sweet Home

I moved into my apartment last week. And though it is small and not top of the line, I love it. It is so good to finally have a place to call my own. I have slowly gotten some unpacking done and I have been reorganizing the furniture until it is just to my liking.
Trevor came over last night and what was supposed to be a couple hours of organizing and "home-ifying"(to quote Trevor) the apartment soon turned into him being there until 2 am putting up shelves and making everything seem more like home. It's beautiful in its simplistic way and I love it!
The guest bedroom is still a mess of boxes and chaos but it will be taken care eventually. I will get it done before March even if I have to stay up into the wee hours of the morning (again).
School has been challenging so far this semester but, for some odd reason, I am enjoying it. Well, I take that back. I am not enjoying ART 113 and all the wire sculptures I have been making. But this too shall pass and I will be stronger afterwards. :)
My favorite classes so far are my World Lit. class and my history class, which really isn't that surprising for me. As long as we don't start reading poems or anything, I will be fine!

Well, I am off to work on some more homework!

Here's your update, Honey

Well, honey told me to update. So here it is...
I survived my mini-session and got an A out of it! :)
I'm really glad I did it. It was amazing to get that class out of the way in a week rather than a semester. And now I feel like this semester and summer school will be a breeze after going doing that class.
I found an apartment! It is practically on campus. It doesn't look like much on the outside but it is nice on the inside, and for that price I am not complaining! I will get the keys tomorrow as long as they get dad's signature back quickly enough. Which means I'll probably be living in there for a few days without furniture.
It is really a blessing that the timing worked out this way. I was already planning on going home for the weekend for Poppa's birthday. And it will be a great time to bring a truck load of furniture and things back since we have Monday off. I'm not sure how I will like living completely by myself, but Trevor and I will be getting married in less than 2 months so I won't be alone anymore.
On another note, I found my wedding dress and I LOVE it! I can't decide between showing it to everyone or just surprising everyone. :) We shall see!
