Moving on Up

First off some pictures of our babies! =)

My big girl, sweet Lady! Being still and quiet
while Trev was sleeping. Poor Angel had a
migraine!

My precious baby boy, Coach! I love
him so much! And he's only a little
spoiled! ;)

On to the main subject - we're moving into our own apartment! Now this might not seem like that big of a deal to some but it is a huge deal to me. =) As much as I hate the actualy moving process, I am pretty excited about this move. Though it isn't far from where we are now, it's a place of our own. Believe me, I have done ALOT of moving since Fall of 2006 between going back and forth between dorms and home at school, our apartment in Hattiesburg, our apartment at Disney, living with Trevor's parents, and currently living with Heather. The longest we have ever been in one place was the 7+ months we were in Orlando.
But
...
Tomorrow we will be signing the lease and moving in to an apartment in Ridgeland. And we get to stay still for Atleast 12 months! I am not looking forward to the actual moving process(though I should feel like a pro at it by now), I am beyond excited for us to have our own place. I get to set up house for my sweet husband. It will be great because it will be ours. Despite two things: 1) we will be working on a very tight budget & 2) my husband wants a PIRATE guest bathroom. haha.

I was already planning on designing our own bathroom but Trevor wants a "manly" bathroom. Pirates? We looked last night and today and couldn't find anything that wasn't too childish, embarrassingly freaky or just straight weird. SO we reached a compromise of doing a nautical theme. He can still have boats, captain's wheels, maps, treasure chests, etc. But this way we can even it out with lifehouses, anchors and life preservers. =) I was rather excited at this lovely compromise. Much better than skulls and crossbones being all over the guest bathroom.

Tonight is my first night to be sleeping completely alone since getting married. I stayed with friends in Hattiesburg for one night but we stayed up talking half the night until we all passed out in exhaustion. But tonight, it is just me and the babies, Lady and Coach. Trevor is in Tennessee until late tomorrow night or Saturday morning for his cousin's funeral. I wasn't able to go for multiple reasons, the main one being that one of us had to be here to sign our lease tomorrow and start moving our furniture and belongings in. I miss him terribly!
His being gone also means that I will have to start moving our things by myself tomorrow. Poppa is going to help us some one Saturday. The plan is to use our car, Poppa's truck and possibly Trevor's dad's truck so that we can get it all done as quickly as possibly. Sadly enough, because of all the moving around we have belongings scattered everywhere! We have our things here at Heather's house, things at my parent's house, some things in my parent's storage building and a lot of things at Trevor's parents in the shop. Hopefully we will get a lot done since summer school starts on Monday.

The last few days have been very emotionally trying and difficult. I have had multiple small breakdowns today. I am trying to pray more and worry less. It is very hard because the last few days I have felt like I was being completely attacked by Satan. Everything seemed to keep piling up and there seemed to be no end to it. I owe a million thanks to my parents for helping me out and keeping me sane. I hate asking for help but there are times when you have to. I love and appreciate Poppa and Moms more than I could ever express.

Retail Therapy

I got the pleasure of taking a leisurely shopping trip with my good friend, Lisa, today. We had such a good time. It was nice to just take our time and not rush to get something specific or be anywhere in particular by a certain time. Such a nice break!
We started off in Dogwood and moved over to Renaissance. Though most of the stores are out of our general spending habits and price ranges, I love looking through the stores. It is always nice to window shop if nothing else. =)
My wardrobe is lacking, to say the least. Most women say they "have nothing to wear" but I am not exaggerating when I say I have very little to wear. I have gotten to where I just put on jeans, a t-shirt and flipflops for class... and while that is ok for some days. It is terrible for me to be doing that on a daily basis. I very rarely have the money to spend on clothes and when I do, I feel guilty for indulging. You might want to sit down(ha, in case you were standing up at your computer!) before I tell you this. I have only bought ONE shirt for myself since moving back home in January. Yes, for those of you mentally calculating, one shirt in a 5 month time period. And that was in March for our wedding anniversary. Before that, the last time I had bought blouses was in October before my parents came to visit us at Disney. TERRIBLE!
But I decided to treat myself. I bought myself 4 nice blouses. I usually just try to go for the lower costs rather than quality and one of my 101 is to build up my wardrobe to be more adult, classy and professional. The frugal side of me kicked in though while we were shopping and I didn't pay full price for anything. My 4 shirts would have been almost $400 regularly... and I paid $75 for them. So, while still saving, I went for quality and still splurged a bit. I mean, before I NEVER would have paid $75 for 4 shirts. Haha. But it was nice to not worry about the price tags so much. And 2 of the shirts were from one of my favorite stores ever, Anthropology.
On a more amusing note, yet still connected to shopping, I used some of my cash tip money from the Braves to shop. And in general keeping with how tip money is, it was all in $1's and $5's. At Anthropology, as we were checking out, Lisa grinned and said, "It must be nice having all that tip money to spend." Needless to say, the sales lady gave us a VERY curious look. To which I laughed and responded for the sales lady's sake, "Yes, tips from serving food does have some advantages." Lisa and I definitely have a good laugh over the situation. And the sales lady even giggled a little. =)

For the first time ever...

I am not really looking forward to summer. I am taking summer school so that I can have less of a workload during the fall and spring. If all goes correctly, I will graduate in the spring and I am so excited to finally get a "big kid" job.
While I know in the long run I will appreciate taking the classes during the summer, it seems like such a drag right now. I have never had to take summer school before and I love everything about summer. The weather, the leisure, the feeling of a weekend lasting all week long. :)
I have exams Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week and then I will be done for a few weeks until summer school starts. We have today off but tomorrow starts a 10 day home stand at the Braves. I have Monday, Wednesday and Friday off but Trevor will most likely have to work the entire 10 days straight. Normally, the hours and work would be appreciated but during finals week? I think he would rather have a few days off to dedicate more time to studying.

Many things to do and not enough time to do everything, so a super short post for my non-existent readers will have to do. =)

Not as bad as I thought

Ok, so today has not been as bad as I expected it to be. My morning class was canceled ahead of time and my group for our group project(due Wednesday) was supposed to meet during the normal class time to work on our project. However, only one of the three guys in the group I am leading showed up. Thankfully, we are each assigned a section on the project and our graded individually instead of as a whole. We had been having trouble finding information, but today we hit the jackpot and I feel alot better about it.

Another plus was that we were able to take our test early instead of staying around until 12:30 to take it. So it is only 10am and I have found pictures for our presentation board, put together information for my part in the presentation and taken my test. Now I just have to wait around until my 11 class and head home.

We have baseball games tonight through Friday, which will keep up busy. I also calculated that we have 5 class meetings left in each class(including today), so I feel like this semester is finally coming to a close. So far I do not feel overwhelmed with how much is left to cover over the semester. Hopefully it won't be too bad. The only class I am even remotely worried about is my speech class. I am hoping to get an A so that I will have a 4.0 but I don't know of anyone in the class with an A. Most of us have B's.

Needless to say, it is going to be a busy week with classes, homework, baseball games, work study, and everything else that happens in our daily lives. But, thankfully, I am not stressing out about anything. I have always been what my family refers to as a "worry wart". I like to have everything organized and laid out. It isn't necessarily that I am a control freak but more than I just want it to eventually turn out right. I have been working on turning the effort I would normally put into worrying into praying. It seems to be working beautifully so far. =)

Half way there!

Ok, so more accurately I am 48% there. I set out on March 20th at 175.6 pounds. When I weighed in 2 days ago, I was at 156. I was so surprised. And, not trying to sound vain at all, I was proud of myself. I really and truly did not think that I would make it even that far. My goal is to get down to 135 and maintain that weight. At this point, I have not been able to do much exercising. Between classes, work study and work at the Braves, I have not had time to work out at Hinds. Trevor and I have discussed joining a gym that has 24/7 hours because it would be more convenient than Hinds with 7am-5pm hours, 5 days a week. As a plus, my friend Martina is a member of the same gym we are discussing joining. And she said that if we join, she would like to be accountability partners. This would be great for me. I am much better at actually going to work out and being consistant if I am going with someone else. It's not a competitive thing for me though, but it is more along the lines of me not wanting to go by myself. I guess I get lonely. haha. =)

I got my new phone(finally!). I got a Blackberry Curve and I am having a blast trying to figure it out. No, I am not being sarcastic at all(a rare occurance, I know).

Tomorrow after Drafting and work study, I will be heading to Hattiesburg to stay with Ashley Paige and Ime until Saturday afternoon. I am truly looking forward to this trip but at the same time, I am unsure. I have not spent a single night away from Trevor since we have gotten married over a year ago. Everyone keeps telling me that it isn't a big deal or anything, but I definitely think it is a big deal. =) I like being with him ;) and I don't know that I can sleep without him. We shall see. On the bright side, I can't wait to see my sorority sisters and friends. I haven't seen most of them since last May when we left for Disney. It will be, despite my doubts. I know it will be! I just might not sleep much! ;)

*Happy Easter Weekend*

Tonight was the home opener for the Mississippi Braves. Trevor, of course, was working in the kitchen at the Cafe. I worked downstairs. Since it was the home opener, as well as Thirsty Thursday, tips were pretty good. I am supposed to be trained upstairs in the suites tomorrow through Sunday. Hopefully it will all work out and I will get to. I would much rather be in the Suites than in VIP.

I am excited about the long weekend break from school but the weekend will still be beyond busy. Tomorrow I am going shopping with Valerie to buy some more khakis for work. I only have one pair of shorts right now and that could be kind of difficult on a 6 day home stand. Plus, a little variety never hurt anyone. My long-time friend Nicole is coming home for the first time in over a year this weekend. We are planning to go to the zoo Saturday morning with her son and maybe do a late lunch with all of the Normals(our group of friends from high school). Sunday games are always in the afternoon. Monday we have a game in the morning(strange, not really sure why they chose to schedule it this way). And Tuesday is the (dreaded) Mississippi State vs. Ole Miss game. Unfortunately, I will be stuck downstairs for this game. This game is supposed to have one of the largest crowds of the season. I have nothing against either of the schools but, no offense, the fans tend to be a little over the top.

Somewhere in there, I will be cleaning, getting things marked off on my to do list and playing with our new puppy, Coach. =) Enough of this random post. Have a great weekend!

oooh! Here's an Easter Happy!

Freebie for anyone interested!

I finally got a little bit of time to play around with my new toy(Photoshop) and here is one of the things I came up with. Depending on how much of my blog you have actually read, you may know that I LOVE Digital Scrapbooking. Taking on kit creating is just a bit over my head right now so I thought I might take a stab at WordArt. =) But believe me, I am never going to live up to the wonderful Bethany.

Here is the link to download.
I used Beautiful Caps and Beautiful ES for the fonts.

Post Edit: I have lost 10 pounds since I last weighed myself! =) So exciting! We are heading to Ponchatoula in a few hours. Have a great weekend!
