Who Knew?

*EDIT: I am playing around with my blog - so please excuse the mess. :)*

I knew that it was going to be a long week, but LONG doesn't even begin to describe it. Between working and school, the days were very long and tiring. I had a constant headache from Tuesday on. For the most part it was dull but by the end of the day, it was throbbing. My throat was hurting and my stomach ached/cramped. In the wee hours of Friday morning, I woke up really sick. I skipped class and Trevor took me to the doctor. I have a sinus infection but rather than draining out of my nose, like it should and usually does, it was draining into my stomach. Which explained my I was so miserable.
They gave me a shot, an antibiotic and a nasal spray. I worked Friday night but I came home in so much pain that I just cried once I got to lay down. I have never hurt like that before. Saturday I spent most of the day trying to rest. Apparently I don't rest very well. :o) I got sick again Saturday night and spent Sunday REALLY resting. I hated missing church but there was really no way around it. The only time I did not rest was for a short trip to my parents house to pick up our school supplies. (*SIDE NOTE: I love school supplies!*)
School today wasn't too bad. I only felt sick for a little while. It seems that I am fine except for a short while after I eat or if I get too hot. Sounds lovely, right? By the time I got home from school I was really tired so I decided to take a short nap... which turned in a 3-4 hour nap. Oops. Obviously my body still needs some rest and time to recover. Once I woke up, I cooked dinner and then spent the rest of the night snuggling on the couch with Trevor and catching up on some of the shows on our DVR.
Hopefully this week will be a lot better than the last one. :o) Goodnight!

Long Week Ahead

*I have edited and re-edited this post numerous times. I just can't seem to get my thoughts down. You have been forewarned...*

We found out yesterday that Trevor's Grandpa Mac has been given a week to live. We are both really at peace about this. Grandpa Mac became a Christian a year ago. I am just praying the rest of Trevor's family will have strength and peace about this. I have never been a prayer warrior... I'll honestly admit that and I truly want to improve.
I am the type that has to have everything organized, planned and prepared. This is a situation where I have to completely turn it over to God. Despite having a peace, I want to "fix" things. So whenever I want to organize, plan, or prepare, I have been praying for His will not my own. I'm definitely challenging myself on this one.

We start school on Monday and we both work Monday - Friday. My class load is somewhat heavy this semester (17 hours) but in the spring it will be so light that I will have to take some extra easy courses in order to stay full time.
Here's my schedule: (not that anyone other than my mom cares haha)
Monday & Wednesday
8-11am Architectural Design 1 - Mr. Cockrell
12-2:50pm Advanced CAD - Mr. Cockrell
Tuesday & Thursday
9-11:30am Mapping & Topography - Mr. Lewis
1-3pm Cost Estimating - Mr. Cockrell
Friday
8-12 Machine Drafting - Mr. Cockrell

I had Mr. Lewis last semester but I have never had Mr. Cockrell before. I'm not going to lie - I am slight nervous about having a new teacher for 4 classes. Should an be interesting. :)

Have a blessed Sunday!

My Favorite Vacation Spots

This week Kelly is hosting Show Us Your Life - Favorite Vacation Spots.
Ok, since I am completely clueless... I have no idea how to put the button onto my post. Can someone help me out here? =)

First on my list, of course, is Disney World! Definitely my happy place.

I love Pennsylvania. We went when I was little and I am looking forward to going back. I love Lancaster and I have a slight obsession with Amish people. ;o)I love, love, love Ponchatoula, LA. It is where my dad grew up, where my Grandmommy still lives and where Trevor and I got married. I like going to Ponchatoula anytime but my favorites are during Christmas and their Strawberry Festival. I love the small town feel and going through all the antique shops. I love going to visit but I think it would lose some of its magic if I ever lived here.
Here is a list of places that I want to go visit for the first time or a return visit:
- New York City
- Savannah, Georgia
- Branson, Missouri
- Europe (no where in particular, I would just like to see a little bit of everything)
- Hawaii
- The Bahamas
- Every Disney park (yes, slightly ambitious but I can dream, right?)
- Williamsburg, Virginia

Monday, Oh Monday

Just a short post... really short.
It has actually been a good Monday. Our friend Brooke, whom we worked with at Disney, is visiting us for a couple of days from Arizona. I am so excited to have her here.
School starts in a week. I am excited to be starting my final year of school but dreading it knowing that this is my last summer of freedom for a little while. And it is also sad knowing that we haven't had a single vacation or trip the entire summer. :(
I told you it was a short post. I will update later in the week. =)

P.S. (edit) I have spent the last couple of hours going back and forth between doing a puzzle with Brooke, watching Anne of Green Gables, and trying to install the free Student Version of AutoCAD 2010. It FINALLY finished downloading... and it is beautiful. Be still my heart. Oh, how I adore AutoCAD. =)

Kelly's Korner's Show Us Your Life: Wedding Reception and Honeymoon

Welcome to my wedding reception and honeymoon via Kelly's Show Us Your Life Tour.
Check out the previous post for a look at my wedding party and flowers.
My wedding reception was held at my grandmother's house.

This next picture is one of my favorites. It brings a smile to my face every time I see it!

Mr. and Mrs. Trevor Spence

Martina, one of my bridesmaids, caught the bouquet. She got married 5 months later. :)

We went to Disney World on my honeymoon. We fell in love with it so much, we returned 3 months later to stay and work May 2008 through January 2009. Disney World is forever my favorite place, and, for me, most definitely my happiest place on earth. I cherish the memories, not only from our week long honeymoon, but from our 7 month "extended honeymoon".

Magic Kingdom =)

Mickey and Minnie "wedding" ears. :o)

Disney's Hollywood Studios at Honey, I Shrunk the Audience. I was inside of the dog's nose. :)

Yes, I know we look young in this picture. Shocking. ;)

More Honey, I Shrunk the Audience.

Such personalities joined together forever...

At the beach of the Grand Floridian, Trevor wrote "March 8, 2008 Trevor and Ashley Spence" in the sand. :o)

Thanks for dropping by. Please leave some love. I adore reading new blogs so leave a comment and I will be sure to check yours out.

Have a Magical Day!
