Best diet tool... Ever!

I must say, I have barely touched any form of dessert since eating this on June 4th.

It was DELICIOUS! But ridiculously rich and sweet.

Valerie and I had so much fun making it.

My cousin, Valerie, and I used the Chocolate Pavlova recipe from Lifetime's TV show, Cook Yourself Thin.

And since making this and eating half a portion, I have only had one mini Betty Crock Warm Delights while watching the Bachelorette at Honey's and 4 bites of Milky Way Ice Cream for Father's Day. Nice dieting tool, eh? Low in calories (only 337 for a large piece!) and it drives away the desire for anything sweet! Sounds good to me. ;o)

Long Time No Blog

It has been a week since I last blogged. I was doing so good and then life got in the way. :)
I am getting over a kidney infection. I was completely out of commission for most of Thursday-Sunday. The pain was absolutely awful. My MIL gave me some samples of a prescription, my friend Martina gave me some cranberry pill supplements and I have been major friends with cran-grape juice. Yes, I know I am supposed to drink plain ole cranberry juice. But I don't like it at all. So I drank Cran-Grape because I like it. I compromised on that one because I knew I would not drink much, if any, of the Cranberry juice but I already like the other... so I drank something with cranberry rather than nothing with cranberry. I didn't go to class on Friday. I told Mrs. West that if I couldn't get comfortable in my bed and sitting is painful then 5 hours straight in a computer chair would be unbearable. I came back yesterday and I was still ahead of everyone else.
I am not going to class tomorrow. If Trevor can get off work, we have a funeral to go to for sweet Kristin Purvis. She went to school with Trevor and played basketball at Tri-County. She was the first person to ever befriend me years ago when Trevor and I started dating. She came and sat with me after she got finished playing her basketball game and she talked to me while we watched Trevor play.
Thursday will be my last day of class. I will come in and finish the project I started today in class, turn in my take-home final exam, and my assignments for my other class and be DONE! So excited! I need some relaxation. I want to enjoy my last free summer before getting a big kid job! :) Thursday is also my amazing mother's birthday. Not sure what all we have planned. I have the night off of work but Trevor does not. I work tonight, tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. Trevor will be working Monday through Saturday this week. Needless to say, I will pamper him with one of his favorite meals on Sunday evening. ;o) I may even let him pick the movie we watch.

I am going to get to work on this take home exam.
OH YEAH, we get cable and internet this afternoon! I have so many of my shows to catch up on. Pitiful, I know!

I actually did pretty well with yesterday's to-do list. I think there were only 2 things I wasn't able to do. I didn't have time to cut out my coupons but I did make a GREAT CVS run. Still exhausted... and slightly sunburnt.

I have tried going to bed earlier but I find that I just lay in bed for hours. I am soo tired but can't seem to sleep when I should be sleeping. Any suggestions?

Yesterday, after church and lunch, Lisa, Savanna and Katie all came over to the apartment. We hung out at the pool and then watched a ridiculously cheesy movie favorite of mine (The Biggest Fan) and I think it is now Katie's favorite movie. We listened to 90's music, mostly 90's pop from when we were younger. Lots of laughs. We hung out for a while before they left.

Side note: I got burnt. One spot on my leg and on my chest. Yup, guess I missed the sunscreen in a few places. :o) I was planning on laying out today but we will see how that goes. I don't like burning/tanning on top of a burn. ouch.

To Do list for today:
__ finish chapter 4 exercises for my GIS class.
__ Chapter 17 exercises and chapter problems for CAD
__ make a CVS run
__ cut out coupons from yesterday and get them organized
__ Possibly make a Brookshire's run (SO nice having it literally around the corner from home)
__ Empty some more boxes
__ Find out the code for the Fitness Center and put the place to good use
__ Find at least 30 minutes to read today
__ Grill hamburgers tonight with Hubby

That's all I can think of for now. :)

Exhausted...

I have not been this tired in a very long time. Friday night, with the help of some of my girl friends, we were able to move a decent sized load from my parent's house. The biggest part of this trip was getting our couch and love seat to the new apartment. Trevor did not get home from his cousin's funeral until Saturday night but we picked the truck and trailer up from Mom and Dad's and got to work. We got the majority of our things out of Heather and BJ's house and then got the furniture from Trevor's parent's house. We have a small load of boxes that are still at his parent's house but I feel like we have gotten a lot accomplished because we no longer have furniture, boxes, etc at Heather's house, my parent's house or at my parent's storage unit. Needless to say, with such a late start Saturday night we did not get done until after midnight and we got back to our apartment around 1am after dropping the truck and trailer back off.

Sunday was a very busy but good day. =) Church, lunch with my family, picking up and dropping off another load from T's parent's and then the Chi Alpha(XA) concert at Pinelake. I miss being in XA so much. I am hoping to be able to go as a chaperone next year.

Yesterday morning we started summer school. Trevor's class only had 3 people in it so they transferred it from a classroom type lecture to an online class. One of my classes for July that had been dropped is now being offered in June as a hybrid class. So I will still get at least 2 classes in this summer. I am so thankful for this. It will make my load for the fall and spring much light and hopefully clear the way for me to graduate by next spring. Exciting!

Last night I hung out at Valerie's and helped with housework while Trevor was working. The game went into extra innings and he didn't get off work until 11 or so. At that time the game was still going and it was in the bottom of the 13th. We got back home around midnight again and it was up at 5:30am again this morning.

So not only am I exhausted from the extra physical activy of moving, I am going on less sleep than usual(4-5 hours a night). We both work tonight through Thursday. Maybe I will be able to get some sleep this weekend. =)
